As Passadeiras de Messines
“As Passadeiras” é um local que fica na freguesia de São Bartolomeu de Messines, a noroeste desta vila.
O nome “Passadeiras” surgiu devido à presença, naquele local, de umas pedras que estavam dentro da ribeira do Arade, que permitiam que a população pudesse passar de uma margem para a outra. Actualmente, essas passadeiras foram substituídas por uma ponte, mas o nome do local manteve-se.
Este local tem servido de palco a vários eventos, entre os quais:
- A comemoração anual do 1º de Maio, organizada pela Casa do Povo de São Bartolomeu de Messines e por outras entidades;
- A organização de vários eventos desportivos pela associação Extremo Sul, dos quais há que destacar a prova do Campeonato Nacional de Enduro e o Caiaque Ride (descida da ribeira do Arade em caiaque).

Esta é uma cache de tamanho regular que contém um logbook, uma stash-note, um lápis e uma caneta. A dimensão desta geocache permite a troca de objectos e de trackables.

“As Passadeiras” (the walkways) is a place in São Bartolomeu de Messines, northwest of this town.
The name “Passadeiras” emerged due to the presence, in that place, of some rocks in the Arade’s brook, that allowed the people to move from one side to the other.
Currently, the walkways were replaced by a bridge, but the name of the place remained the same.
This place has served as a stage for various events, including:
- The annual commemoration of May 1st, organized by Casa do Povo de São Bartolomeu de Messines and other entities;
- The organization of various sporting events by the association Extremo Sul, of which must be highlighted the portuguese Enduro Championship and the Caiaque Ride (going down the Arade’s brook in kayak).
The cache:
This is a regular size cache that contains a logbook, a stash-note, a pencil and a pen. The size of this geocache allows the trade of items and trackables.
