Geocache Description:

At the corner of Weiler Blvd and Porcupine Street, count 3 telephone posts and look for a small trail that follows a forest line. Walk the trail until you reach a post. From the post take 5 paces into the forest.

Cached at Williams Bog, this cache takes the form of a camouflaged box and is associated with the Big Boreal Adventure (www.bigborealadventure.ca). The Big Boreal Adventure is a project geared towards getting families outside into nature! We have multiple caches that are mostly close to our POST SITES. This post's coordinates are N 48 23.572 W 089 18.360. Get a free guidebook and map from the Thunder Bay Public Library and tour the 35 nature sites within the city!

We have tried to put items in the box that are "natural" so feel free to trade in things that follow that theme.

The Williams Bog is the only remaining bog of a series of three almost connecting peatlands once located in this vicinity on the northern plains of the Kaministiqua River. The bog purifies water percolating through it.
