Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

As a kid, I enjoyed various games but never quite loved the war board games quite as much as my brother did. He would set up intricate battles and study World War II strategy so he could beat his friends. He'd spend hours setting up the maps on our dining room table and then spend an afternoon geeking out to wargaming with his friends. I was too young, so I found escapism through different games. But I digress...

One thing that stood out to me was moving tanks around a hex board. I thought that was neat. Supply lines meant strong fronts and strong attacks and could be measured by the number of consecutive hexes controlled.

This puzzle is an homage to those simpler days.

Rules:
  1. Each row contains the numbers 0 through 9 with no duplicates.
  2. Each hex that has a tank entering it has a value of that previous hex + 1. So if a tank is leaving hex X that has a value of n and is entering hex Y, hex Y will have a value of n + 1.
  3. A corollary to the previous rule is that if there is no tank going from hex X to hex Y, then the values of X and Y are not n and n + 1.

The cache can be found at N 33 42.ABC, W 112 06.DEF.

The hide is meant to be easy. The puzzle is meant to be fun for kids (>10 years) or adults.
