Shaja vieta kadreiz atradas slepnis ar nosaukum Imantas Observatorija GC2A8C7. Shis bija viens no maniem pirmajiem atrastajiem un lidz ar to viens no maniem favoritiem! Driz pec manas atrashanas shim slepnim paradijas statuss – Disabled, un laika gaita tas nomira “dabiga nave” ar Pohatu Nuva palidzibu! Ilgi domaju par shi slepnja atjaunoshanu un nu beidzot ir pienacis shis bridis, un tagad sheit atkal ir slepnis, savadaka izskata un izpildijuma! Cerams, sho slepni nepiemekles tads pats liktenis ka ieprikshejo!
Slepnis atrodas bijushas Imantas observatorijas pamestaja eka! Eka ir pasha kalna gala, un no tas paveras skaists skats uz urbanizeto Imantu un Iljgjuciemu!
Par pashu observatoriju informacijas ir maz, bet shis bija viens no meteorologjisko petijumu un noverojumu centriem Padomju Latvija, kas veica laika prognozhu sagatavoshanu. No shejienes gaisa laida meteorologjiskas zondes liela balona izskata, un tuvuma dzivojoshie cilveki biezhi veroja to skatu! Bija gadijumi, kad shie baloni ar meriericem nolaidas (Vai nokrita) tuvakas apkartnes privatajas teritorijas! Bet parsvara shis zondes savu lidojumu beidza vairākus desmitus kilometru talu.
Vienmer paturiet prata to, ka jabut ljoti uzmanigiem meklejot, pierakstoties un noliekot atpakalj slepni! Uzmanieties no liekam acim!

At this place there used to be cache by name Imantas Observatorija GC2A8C7. This was one of my first finds and therefore one of my favorites. Soon after my find this cache was disabled and in some time it died in “natural death” with help from Pohatu Nuva! Long time I was thinking to renovate this cache and finally the time has come that here is a cache once again. In different look and performance. Hopefully this cache won’t suffer the fate of previous one.
The cache is located in the former building of observatory of Imanta. Building is abandoned! The building is located at the top of the mountain and from it you can see some beautiful sights to urbanized Riga’s districts – Imanta and Iljgjuciems!
There is very small amount of information about observatory it self. It was one of the meteorology exploration and observation centers in Soviet Latvia. It conducted and researched meteorological data and prepared weather forecast. From this location where launched meteorological probes in look of big balloon. People living near by where able to see this view quit often. Some times there where situations that probes landed (or crashlanded) in near by private territories, but usually probes traveled for tens of kilometers far away.
Always keep it in mind to be very careful looking for the cache, loging it and putting it back in place! Be aware from unwanted eyes!
