About the film:
BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID, made in 1969, is one of our most favorite films. An unconventional western, it loosely follows the lives (and ulimate end) of two legends of western lore. Played with the perfect blend of comic, dead-pan delivery and dramatic realism, the acting duo of Paul Newman and Robert Redford was a match made in heaven. Add to that the fine direction by great filmmaker George Roy Hill and the seemingly uncharacteristic musical score by Burt Bacharach, and you have a truly unique gem of a movie. The song "Raindrops are Falling On My Head" won an oscar for best song and the screenplay with it's sharp and clever banter won William Goldman a screenplay oscar.
About the cache:
We've seen these "hosts" and have always wanted to put a cache here, but at one time or another there has always been something here or close by. When we saw this opening, we jumped on it.
The cache is NOT at the listed coordinates. It is however, just about 45 feet away. It's your choice- East or West. Butch or Sundance.
