Urh je majhno naselje na Pohorju v občini Slovenska Bistrica v severovzhodni Sloveniji. Območje je del tradicionalnega območja Štajerske. Zdaj je prav tako vključena v ostale občine v Podravski statistični regiji.
Lokalna cerkev po kateri je naselje dobilo ime, je posvečena Svetemu Urhu in spada pod Tinjsko župnijo, ki sega v 17. stoletje.
Urh is a small settlement in the Pohorje hills in the Slovenska Bistrica municipality in northeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. It is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Podravje statistical region.
The local church, from which the settlement gets its name, is dedicated to Saint Ulrich and belongs to the Tinje parish. It dates to the 17th century.
Sveti Urh (890– 973), je bil škof v Augsburgu in vodja Rimskokatoliške cerkve v Nemčiji. Bil je prvi, ki je bil razglašen za svetnika.
Sveti Urh je prav tako upodobljen na grbu Zeismannsbrunna, predmestju Dunaja v Avstriji.
Saint Ulrich (890– 973), was Bishop of Augsburg and a leader of the Roman Catholic Church in Germany. He was the first saint to be canonized.Saint Ulrich depicted on the coat of arms of Zeismannsbrunn, a suburb of Vienna, Austria.

I recommend that you take with-yourself at the final location an empty bottle in which you can poured fresh drinking water from Pohorje!
Priporočam!!! Če pustite avto na Urhu je cca. 1h hoje do jelke, če pa se peljete od cerkve naprej (levo) lahko avto pustite na Močniku, od katerega je cca. 15 min hoje do jelke!
I recommend! If you leave the car at Urh is approx. 1 hour walk to the tree, but if you drive from the church (left) you can leave the car at Močnik, from which approx. 15 min walk to the tree!
