Cache is slightly bigger than a film container. Room for a log and a small TB without a hitchhiker. BYOP. There is a toonie for the FTF. This area is a little on the damp side and can be wet even after a long dry spell. Don't get stuck and loose a shoe!! Watch out for the skunk cabbage.
A young lad that was causing havoc in town on his motorcycle ended up in the ditch on the north side of the road just west of this spot. I helped him out of the ditch and into the back of my car!!!
Since the cache was placed, someone has removed the plaque that designated this as an Elgin County Heritage Tree.
also when I went out to replace a wet log, I was unable to find the original container myself. Replaced everything with a new container and dry log. If the original container is located, please dispose of it.
