All of the neighbourhoods in this area had their own church building. It is thought to have taken 3 years to build this structure as it was all done through donations of supplies and labour. The lower level housed the chapel, while the upstairs seerved at a community hall. The church opened in Dec 1870. The church fell victim to the changing lifestyles of the younger generations, and the community was forced to make the difficult decision to close this location in June 2011. The future plans for the building remain unknown at this time.
