Cache near Historic Markers
This Church and cemetery are a part of my life and memories.My grandpa William Jackson Colly preached here before there was a church according to my grandma [Nettie Guest Colly] of Clinch Co.He stood on a stump to preach or out of the back of a wagon. He was a share cropper, Worked in the Turpintine woods,made moonshine and I am not sure which order but was always a hunter of wild game. It was a way of life for them...He died in 1923...My mother was 3 years old at the time.I was very young, when Mama & Grandma would bring us to " Big Meeting". They would preach, wash feet,singing as never heard and have dinner on the ground.I have lots of family buried here.
