How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

A short walk along the Towpath section of the Grand Valley Trail. This little series ‘celebrates’ some of our (least) favorite challenges of geocaching.

Angry Birds... No, not the video game. If some cacher hides a cache nearby a spot near where a bird may subsequently decide to nest, you may be the victim of angry birds. If you show up in the woods during wild turkey mating season, you may also come into contact with angry birds (as well as hunters). Please note that when we placed these caches although we didn't see any angry birds, we did see many spent shotgun shells, so take necessary precautions during hunting season. Consider yourself warned!

Angry Birds

A big thanks to All Hat who graciously archived his missing nearby cache and gave up the space. His cache had fallen victim to another of the perils of geocaching... muggles! And congrats to All Hat and Roadapple49 on the shared, if accidental, FTF:-)

BYOP.

May 26th update: WARNING - we did the trail today and saw a patch of GIANT HOGWEED near the trail head. Though we did not encounter it further down the trail or near any of the caches, be aware that it is in the area and should be avoided!
