Thorns... A good defense mechanism for trees, plants, and the animals that hide in them. NOT so good for the cacher. Even when it's hot out, jeans are usually our clothing of choice if for no other reason but that they slow down some of the thorns. This area has many hawthorn trees. Some contain caches. No jeans stop all thorns. Consider yourself warned!

May 26th update: WARNING - we did the trail today and saw a patch of GIANT HOGWEED near the trail head. Though we did not encounter it further down the trail or near any of the caches, be aware that it is in the area and should be avoided!
