Chapelle Saint-Jean Chapelle romane du XIIe siècle, caractéristique du 1er art roman provençal (plan à nef unique, arc triomphal, abside en cul de four). Avec les 2 autres chapelles (Saint-George et Saint Martin), l'édifice militaire de Tour Vielle, et 4 fermes dispersées, Rousset et le plateau du Sonnaillet nous offrent un paysage typiquement médiéval. La découverte sous l'abside de Saint Jean d'un foyer du Ve siècle avant notre ère (fouille archéologique de 1986) a montré l'ancienneté de l'occupation de ce secteur. En 1986 a commencé un programme de restauration, (APARE, et Lycée Professionnel les Alpilles, de Miramas).
Chapel of Saint John Romanesque chapel of the XIIth century, characteristic of the earliest provençal romanesque art (single nave, rounded arch, semi-circular "bread-oven" apse). With the 2 other chapels (Saint-Georges and Saint-Martin), the defensive Tour Vielle,and its four scattered farms, Rousset and the plateau of Sonnaillet present a typically medieval landscape. The discorvery beneath the apse of Saint John of a Vth century B.C cooking hearth (during the 1986 archeological dig) shows how far back in time this area was occupied. A restoration project was begun in 1986 (APARE, ans Lycée Professionnel les Alpilles, de Miramas).
