Geocache Description:

Lenox Mission Cemetery circa 1853

Lenox Mission School established in 1853 by Dr. Simon L. Hobbs and wife as part of the Presbyterian Church mission. This is the site of the mission. The marker on the highway says that they started with 48 students. Nothing remains except for a small, fenced cemetery. Dr. and Mrs. Hobbs are buried in this cemetery. There are four or five other commercially produced markers. A small thicket is growing within the cemetery so please watch out for stickers, thorns, briars and small bushes.

****** Happy Kudos to JFFOK for the FTF and the very good photos she took and posted for others to see, Thank You. ******
