Normal 35mm film pot placed close to the former church, now a private residence situated at the junction of Shaftesbury Road and Wet Lane on the outskirts of Mere.
St Matthews was an Anglican mission church designed by the Gothic Revival architect Charles Edwin Ponting FSA and built in 1882.The Grade 2 listed building closed for public worship in 2004.Quite sadly the final times of service sheet from 2004 is still in the notice board by the gates.
Cache is placed in a fairly obvious location just off of Shaftesbury Road.
Please be careful if caching with children or animals as the road will need to be crossed if approaching from Mere.
If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list
