Geocache Description:

A small stocked Lock-n-Lock I won in a raffle at the 11-11-11 event

This cache will take you for a short walk along the Tonawanda Creek. From 1949 to 1964 the Marrot family operated Boulder Park. It was one of the most popular attractions in Genesee County. It was know for its Hershel Carrousel with 1200 electric lights hand carved horses, polar bears, giraffe and elephants . After Phil Marrot retired the park was sold and left to deteriorate under new ownership. The park finally closed for good in 1970. You will find the remnants of the station for the little train that took kids around the former amusement park that covered 14 acres was on both sides of the creek. Not much is left now do to vandals and thieves. Its all but a faded memory. Take a melancholy step back in time and try imagine what life was like over 50 years ago.

Take care as you walk along the edge of the creek. There is a lot to park in on Little Falls Road and of course take the time to re hide it as good or better than you found it.
