A nice walk in the woods somewhat off the beaten path.
Holcombe Hill Preserve is a land trust maintained by the Newtown Forest Association. This preserve is eighty acres in size and includes many hiking trails. There is a parking lot at the main gate on Great Hill Road in Newtown. The cache is contained in a small green and black miltary munitions can which I stuck under a small rock outcropping between two trees. The cache itself is 150 two 250 feet from the nearest trail depending on which way you approach it so wear your hiking boots. Please remember to leave something for the next geocacher and update the log book. ****NOTE: DO NOT attempt this cache at night. The preserve closes at sunset and people have been arrested and/or had there cars towed away for breaking this rule.****
