Buffalo Mountain, Latimer County, Oklahoma
You will access Buffalo Mountain Road in front of the Choctaw Indian Hospital, a few miles northwest of Talihina. This road, which dead ends on the western ridge of the mountain, gives a great view of the valley below and the city of Talihina.
Look off the southern ridge of the mountain,
And you will be amazed at the view.
Look carefully down the rocky cliff,
You might spot a hang glider or two.
Find a small rocky cliff
Between the glider's favorite spots.
Look for this cache under a rock,
Sign the log and tell us your thoughts.
This can be easily reached
Without going over the edge or side.
There are rules of safety
Which we hope you will abide.
