Crime Scene: Gathering of Evidence or have completed the
Cache of Evidence then you are ready to tackle this one.
Use the clues you gathered from the evidence to solve the location
of Apprehended!. The coordinate puzzle appears below.
You won't have to do any bushwhacking to find this, so please
stay on sidewalks, trail, paths and such. The geocache is hidden
pretty well to avoid unintentional finds by the numerous visitors
to the area. Please be discrete and rehide the container carefully.
The
geocache container was a .30 cal ammo box. The
original contents included a log book, the
Apprehended
Bug, handcuffs, plastic badges, a getaway car, and other nifty
stuff.
UPDATE! October 17, 2002 The original container was
stolen. I have replaced it with a micro-cache in the same location
(see photo). The original was well-hidden by loam when I placed it.
The new micro-cache is at ground level and behind a clump of moss.
If you hide it as carefully as I did, it should not be found on
accident. Thank you!
I took 18 coordinate readings at the location over the course
of five visits. The reception varied widely, as did the
coordinates. I've averaged them and believe them to be pretty darn
close. There's a good chance that you'll need the hint, not so much
because of the coordinates but because it is well hidden. Please
don't post any coordinates in the logs!
