When I started to plan an event for Leap Year Day, 2012 I heard cachers talking about needing that day to fill in their calendar. I did some searching and realized there wasn’t a cache nearby for that challenge so I decided to place one.
Here is your challenge if you choose to accept it.
To claim your smiley you need to have logged a find for all 366 dates on the calender. It isn't necessary that they be 366 days in a row, just a fully completed calendar.
The cache is at the posted coordinates but you MUST fulfill the requirements before you may log a find on this cache.
The Logging Requirements
• Find at least one cache on each of the 366 days in the calendar . This cache does NOT count towards that goal. This does not mean caching every day for 366 straight days. A found cache on a calendar date of any year will count for that day.
• You will need to find 366 unique caches.
• All cache types count. For events, the day the event was held is what counts, not the date you posted your log. (Multiday events count on the first day you attended.)
• To verify that the challenge has been completed email me or post a screenshot of your completed calendar from your profile stats or gsak or create a bookmark list. If completion of the challenge cannot be verified by one of these means within one (1) week of the find log posting, then the find log will be removed.
• The log book will be checked for your signature and date.
• “Prefinding” of this cache is not allowed. This cache is meant to be found AFTER completing the challenge of filling in the calendar. You may NOT post a "Note" log when you find the cache and then log a find when it has been completed at a later date unless the completion is within 2 weeks of the date you found this cache. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any logs not following this will be deleted.
• If found as a group please each sign with your own caching name.
• To be fair to legitimate finders I will check the log for your signature and date and then your calendar on your profile and will delete any and all "Found" logs if the challenge isn't met.
The Cache
The 5 difficulty rating reflects the requirement to find 366 different caches but the actual cache itself is a 2.5 difficulty. The terrain rating is a guestimate of the average of all the cache terrains found for this challenge. The terrain rating and attributes for THIS cache placement is probably a 2. Little or no bushwacking is required.
