Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the Ben Franklin Institute of Technology, but it does have to do with electricity. You are seeking a small/nano cache within two miles of the posted coordinates. You must determine the location from the given information below.

A friend of mine makes his living as an electrician. Perhaps because he is an electrician, my friend excels at puzzles. He thought he could stump me with the following challenge, but he forgot how much I enjoy a good puzzle.

An electrician, George, was called to service the house at 55 North Cumberland Road because it was experiencing sporadic power outages. This was a particularly unusual case because none of the neighboring houses reported any issues. So George drove over to the house on North Cumberland. After knocking on the door, the owner, Laurie, finally answered. The power was still out, but to make things worse, extension cords were everywhere!

Laurie explained that she was able to get the power back on when very specific combinations of extension cords were plugged in. For example, when the blue extension cord was plugged in to the toaster oven and the red extension cord was plugged into the hedge trimmers, the power came back on, but only for a few minutes (George didn’t ask why hedge trimmers were stored in the living room).
The next step was trying to figure out what combination of extension cords resulted in non-stop electricity. So George and Laurie gathered together all the extension cords in the house, 99 in total. Needless to say it was a bit overwhelming and it seemed like there was no chance of success. The first step was separating the cords into each of the four different colors. It only took a few minutes, which was a relief. After trying multiple combinations, they couldn’t get electricity back for more than seven seconds. But when they were about to give up, when it seemed like there was no possible combination of cords that would work, George plugged in a final cord.

It’s hard to tell whether it was luck or fate, but the combination of cords worked! Unfortunately, also the result of either luck or fate, two of the extension cords were connected to hedge trimmers (still in the living room?) that ripped the extension cords to pieces!!

After finding the perfect combination, everything seemed to be lost. All they could do was gather up the pieces of shredded extension cord (and move the hedge trimmers to the garage where they belong).

Even though we're no closer to a solution to our electrical problem, or a working lamp, hopefully you have the information you need to find the location of the hidden electrician’s cache.
The cache itself is in a public area, if anyone is working nearby, please be respectful and feel free to take some time to enjoy their work. Also remember to bring a pen. Good Luck!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
