Grocaching is all about Hidden Treasures, and this location is a hidden treasure in its own right! Hiding in a stand of old growth Karri forrest, and only 9 km from Walpole, is a fascinating collection of sculpture. Here you will find this impressive entrance and five commissioned works by local artist, strung out on a 500 metre walk track.
The cache is tucked away in a conventional hiding spot, but is camouflaged to blend with its surroundings. There is absolutely no need to bush bash!.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a high rainfall area. There have been regular complaints that the log book is wet. In all cases this has been because the cache hasn't been put back in the proper protected spot, and the logbook hasn't been sealed in an undamaged ziplock bag. Please, please, put the logbook in a bag and zip it shut! (There are several spare bags included. These are not swaps!) Then replace the cachebox under the protective overhang of the host object.
This cache was placed with the kind permission and approval of the Department of Environment and Conservation.
Congratulations to freebkids for a prompt FTF!
