This cache is located in a small park on Arlington Ridge. On street parking is available.
The cache is large enough to drop or pick up travel bugs and geocoins. A quiet place for travel bugs to rest, relax, freshen up, meet like-minded travel bugs, and swap travel stories before heading out on the road again.
We are hoping that this cache will have frequent visitors and trackables will have a very short stay. Everyone is welcome to come and sign the log (guest) book whether picking up or dropping off trackables, other items of interest, or just visiting.
Please take extra care in re-hiding this cache to make sure it is hidden as you found it.
While in the area, if you like history, you may want to visit the historic Hume School built in 1891. The Arlington Historical Museum located at 1805 S. Arlington Ridge Road is open Saturday and Sunday 1-4pm. Frank Hume, a Confederate veteran of the Civil War and local civic leader, sold his property to the county for $250 and donated some additional land for the playground. It was an active school from 1891 until it closed in 1958. The building was deeded to the Arlington Historical Society in 1960. It is the oldest school building in Arlington County.
