Mustola Harbour
Mustolan satama sijaitsee Saimaan kanavan varrella noin 20 km:n päässä Venäjän rajasta. Mustolan satamasta on hyvät kulkuyhteydet Venäjälle vesi-, rauta- ja maanteitse. Mustolasta johtaa rautatie Venäjälle ja Kauko-Itään asti. Mustolan satamassa on seitsemän laivapaikkaa. Lappeenrannan kaupunki omistaa Mustolan sataman kokonaisuudessaan.
Viime vuosina Mustolan sataman toiminta on hiipunut. Lappeenrannan kaupunki on kuitenkin budjetoinut rahaa sen toiminnan kehittämiseen. Alueella toimineista yrityksistä suuri osa on lähtenyt. Mustolan sataman kautta kulki vuonna 2010 tavaraa 185 954 tonnia, pääasiassa kivihiilikoksia, raakamineraaleja, raakapuuhaketta, sekä malmeja, rikasteita ja romua. Ulkomaan tavaraliikenteen osuus oli n.70%. Mustolan sataman toiminta koostuu siis lähinnä ulkomaankuljetuksista.
Asiantuntijoiden mukaan sataman tulevaisuus näyttää kuitenkin turvatulta. Saimaan kanavan vesitiekuljetusten vahvimpia mahdollisuuksia tulevaisuudessa ovat kuljetusten ekologisuus ja uusien tavaralajien kuljetettavaksi saaminen sisävesillä, sekä vesiteitse tapahtuvien kuljetusten edullisuus.

Mustola Harbour
The port of Mustola is located along the Saimaa canal about 20 km from the Russian border. The port of Mustola has easy access to Russia, by the water, rail and road. There is the railway from Mustola to Russia and up to the Far East. The port of Mustola has seven quays. The city of Lappeenranta owns the port of Mustola.
In recent years, the port of Mustola activity has decreased. City of Lappeenranta has budgeted money for developing the port. The most of the corporations that operated at the area are gone. In 2010 the port of Mustola passed through 185 954 tonnes of supplies, mainly hard coal, crude minerals, raw wood chips, as well as ores, concentrates and scrap. Foreign goods accounted for about 70% of total supplies. The port of Mustola activity thus consists of mainly foreign shipments.
According to experts the future of the port looks secured. The strongest possibilities of Saimaa Canal water transportation in the future are ecology of transportations and transportation of the new types of goods on inland waterways, as well as affordability of river transports.
