This cache is one of a series of puzzle caches created to celebrate the
Olympic Games Sailing events of 2012.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS SERIES WILL BE ARCHIVED ON THE 30th SEPTEMBER 2013 We would like to thank the many cachers who have taken the time to attempt these caches
The series is depicted in Weymouth Bay as five rings when viewed on the Geocaching.com web site map-view. Each ring of puzzles has a bonus puzzle solved by the collection of information within each ring. Only the solving of all five bonus puzzles will lead to the overall gold, silver and bronze prizes in a final cache location.
All the puzzles are designed to be of difficulty 2.5 or less and can be solved 'at home'. Results can be verified with www.geochecker.com
There are over 60 puzzles to solve so it is not a quick task to get to the end, but remember that all Olympians only reach their peak with hard work!
The creators of the series thank our local reviewers and Groundspeak, who have been involved during its creation and given their permission for cache hides to be up to five miles distant from published coordinates.
You will need to have available the Ordnance Survey Explorer Map OL 15 available for a good bit of old fasioned map reading! If you don't own one, then think about some other options such as online or library services?
