roomeri: And the story ended. Maybe a bit too soon But then again, life is full of unexpected things, this being a very minor one. Thanks, and goodbye from Munismäki - and for the fish, of course.

Geocache Description:

Perinteinen kätkö Märyssä.

Traditional cache in Märy.

Munismäellä on sijainnut rautakautinen asuinpaikka ja uhrikivi. Mäki on ohuen savikerroksen peittämä, mäntyä kasvava kalliontöppäre, jonka etelälaidan kalliopaljastumassa on runsaasti kuppeja. Joissakin lähteissä Munismäki tunnetaankin Kuppikalliona.

Huomioikaa, että alue on muinaismuistolain suojelema, joten kaivauksia tai kivien siirtelyä ei alueella ole sallittua tehdä.

In english:

Munismäki (Munis Hill) is one of many places of historical Halikko, where evidence of habitance from iron Age have been found. On Southern edge of the hill is a sacrificial stone where multiple potholes can be found.

Due to relics found in the area, hill is protected by law. All kind of digging and moving of stones etc. are strictly forbidden.
