Geocache Description:

Continuing the excellent series started some time ago by Woking Wonders, and inspired by those in the 'X' Marks the Spot series. This cache is part of a series on the theme of people of significance in the various arts (literary, musical etc) and who have Surrey connections.

The cache (or indeed any information related to it) cannot be found at the listed coordinates. They are for a railway station that may or may not be of use. You will need to solve the puzzle below which you should be able to do from the comfort of your own home to find the cache location.

This person (who will be called X) was neither born nor died in Surrey, however they were working and living in the county when their artistic career started. This location is recorded by a blue plaque within a few hundred yards of the cache.

X has been one of the most popular and prolific in their field both in Britain and internationally. However X has not been without controversy. X's works have been 'banned' from time to time and some content has had to be edited for 21st Century eyes. X's work has often been looked down upon by critics but its popularity continues.

To solve the cache you will need to identify X and answer the following questions:

- X lived and worked in a house in Surrey between 1AB0 and 1AB4 at which there is a blue plaque.
- This house is number CDE and, when X was there, had a name with F letters in it.
- While at this location X worked predominantly for one particular family containing 4 brothers. They had a surname with G letters in it.
- Some of X's most famous works are associated with any one of 3 numbers (I do not consider 6 famous enough!). These are H, I and J in ascending order.
- X also produced lesser known work under another name. K and L are the number of letters in the relevant forename and surname.

The cache can be found at:
N 51 (C-D)(A-E).(G-I)H(C+K)
W 000 (F+J).KBE

It does not have a pencil so please bring your own writing implement.

There are 10 'micro' certificates for the first 10 to find.
