Highway to No Way Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

The Scout: Visited the cache today to replace the log book and found that Travellers (the Celtic Nomads) had camped in large numbers adjacent to the cache site.
I think their presence here might pose a problem for family caching .... better to be safe than sorry. Will relocate travel bug asap.
Hope to activate cache later on in the year when the unwelcome guests have moved on!

Geocache Description:

This cache should suit those of you who do the M4 shuffle into and out of Wales. The cache is only mile or so from junction 28 and a very short walk from the car to the cache. So ideal for a quick "bag".

The site of the cache seems to have some ancient history as there appears to be a type of Neolithic stone circle, into the centre of which I have placed the cache. The stones have been placed in a well ordered fashion, which must have taken those ancient builders months if not years to construct. I believe this circle must have a religious significance and has been erected to worship some god or other, as just to the east of the cache site there has been erected a giant Cathedral to the faith of Korean and Welsh enterprise. Unfortunately this faith has sadly floundered along with the Korean economy and left this dead end highway with its now long forgotten stone circle.

If you look carefully around you can see that some nomadic Celtic people who may have worshipped at this place and may have caused this monument to be built, have left artefacts scattered on the ground, please do not pick these up as although this site has yet to be listed, looting of treasure from here will hinder the work of archaeologists in the future.

Please show some respect at this site as its construction along with the Cathedral has cost the Welsh Nation dearly !

The cache is in a green and yellow container.

Feb.2003 Note:- Recent interest shown by the Geocaching community and others with regards to "Mystic sites" has caused me to recheck this cache, I have found an increase in ritual Incense burning at the site (this can be seen on the approach to and from the circle). I believe worship to the great Celtic God "Done Lop" may be responsible for this and seems to suggest that the "Nomadic Celtic People" may be returning to pay homage at this site again!
