Jerusalem’s Gates: Final Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Matmonai: It took much longer than a week. But this cache will now be replaced with a very similar, but far easier mystery cache- GC77J3B: Jerusalem’s Gates: Final (v.2). Enjoy.

How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is the final part of the Jerusalem’s Gates Series. To find the final coords, you have to collect codes along your way, as described below. You are looking for a small plastic box. There are a lot of muggles around, therefore MAXIMUM STEALTH IS REQUIRED. Bring your own pen to sign the logbook.

To claim the final cache you must collect information from the 9 caches hidden by the gates. The final location is at:

31°46.ABC 035°1D.EBF

This is coded as follows: Each cache has a digit, and each clue has a letter. You must visit each cache and match it with its clue, thus you assign a digit to each letter. Note that you don't need to find the caches to solve this puzzle; it's enough to be at the right place and look around.

If you want to find all the caches in this series, you should expect an afternoon of walking. Or slightly more if you're like me and you tend to tend to start wandering around in the Old City. The coordinates above are NOT for the cache but for the Muristan in the Old City.

This series is in memory of somloci, who set up the original, but now archived, "Jerusalem's Gates" series (GC1XRRQ, GC1XRRN, GC1XRRM, GC1XRRK, GC1XRRJ, GC1XRRH, GC1XRRG, GC1XRRF, GC1XRRE). His untimely passing was a tragedy for the entire Geocaching community. For those who found the old series cache: the new caches are hidden close to the old caches, but in new locations, so you have a new challenge and may log a new find.
