Cette cache vous invite à découvrir le site du Blanc-Mont, ancien observatoire allemand qui vit tomber plus de 6 000 soldats américains lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale.
Tous les corps et sépultures furent ensuite réunis à Romagne /s Montfaucon (Meuse) mais un monument fut élevé ici, par le gouvernement américain, sur le lieu même des combats.
Le sommet du monument offre un très beau panorama permettant d’observer la configuration du champ de batailles ainsi que des restes de tranchées.

Welcome into American territory, the home country of geocaching.
This cache invites you to discover the site of Blanc-Mont, an old German look-out post that saw more than 6,000 American soldiers fall during the First World War.
All corpses and tombs were afterwards gathered in Romagne /s Montfaucon (Meuse) , but a monument was raised here, by the American government, on the same site of the conflicts.
The top of the memorial offers a really beautiful panorama from which you can observe the set up of the battlefields, as well as the remains of the trenches.
