"Kin-Dza-Dza!" is a Soviet comedy-science fiction film released in 1986 by the Mosfilm studio and directed by Georgi Daneliya, with a story by Georgi Daneliya and Revaz Gabriadze. The film was filmed in colour, consists of two parts and runs for 135 minutes in total.
This film is a dark and grotesque parody of human society and may be described as a dystopia. It depicts a desert planet, depleted of its resources, home to an impoverished dog-eat-dog society with extreme inequality and oppression.
It was a cult film in the Soviet Union, and its humorous dialogues were frequently quoted.

Awards:
1987 - International film festival in Rio de Janeiro "Rio Cine Festival", a special prize form judges "For the pictorial concept".
1987 - The "Nick" award for "Best music for the film".
1988 - International festival of fantasy genre in Porto "Fantasporto", a special prize from international judges.
2002 - The "Wanderer" award in the nomination "Legend of fantasy cinema".
