[PT] Foi o que aconteceu há muitos anos, quando na Ilha das Flores ainda trilhos não tinham sido. Tínhamos passado meio-dia no balneário a descansar, quando um de nós pegou no binóculo e fixou bém a encosta íngreme atrás de Ponta da Fajã. Parece que há um caminho a seguir. Será possível chegar à ponta da ilha? Vamos ver que vista se tem! Dito e feito!
A vista era tão espectacular que nos feriu subitamente. Não pudemos voltar atrás. Continuámos sempre até ao farol de Albarnaz e Ponta Delgada. Como se sentem - estão decididos a ir até à “porta mágica” na ponta da ilha e depois voltar? Ou sera que o feitiço vos encantou?

[ENG] Once upon a time there didn’t exist any marked trails on Flores. We had hung around at the balneario lazily until high noon was over, when one of us curiously took the binoculars: Isn’t there a path continuing beyond Ponta da Fajã? Can we walk up to the corner of the escarpment? Let’s go and test the view out there!
So we did. But viewing around the corner of the island was so spectacular that it unfolded a strong sort of magic. Unable to turn back, we had simply to walk on and on until we reached Farol de Albarnaz and Ponta Delgada.
Meanwhile, because of landslides, the route has changed. But don't worry - at N 39°29.277 W 31°15.211 you can deviate from the actual trail for 125 metres to get the cache plus the historic change of scenery. No climbing required, only walking on grass.

We are often on Flores Island, but not every holiday. In the meantime the local geocacher netuseraz will help us to maintain this cache. Obrigado!
