A nice little park. Mostly ice fishing in winter and swimming in
the summer.
When I walk the dog (Cleo) or when she walks me, I start at the
boat launch and take the trail to the west along the lake. It is a
nice walk if you complete the loop or just return back the way you
came. There are also picnic shelters scattered through-out the
park. In the summer the lake is nice for swimming. The water is
very clear.
The cache is a candy tin. Inside you may find a card game, a
yo-yo, a third place ribbon, a mouse, a map from Golden Eagle ski
trails, some fake fifties, and some fake hundreds. Trade an item if
you choose.
Years ago they used to charge a fee for swimming when the
lifeguard was on duty. I don't think that they do that any
more.
