Geocache Description:

The house just north of the cache site has been there forever.

This house is something of a local oddity. I looked up the property records on this place one time and some man started building it in the 1950s. He never finished and for years, a man, I believe the same one who started building it, livied in a very small travel trailer outside the house while nature took its toll. My dad, who was a Gardendale Volunteer Firefighter for many years, said he got a call at the house one time and went inside. He said it was weird maze of stairways to nowhere and doors that would open into solid brick walls.

These days, a family has taken up residence inside the house and done some work to it...but not much. It looks like they have leaned plastic up against openings to make informal windows. They aren't living in the house's entirity, but only a portion of it. They have horses but in general the house looks like a creepy, old dump. On some nights, a single light illuminates the tower like top portion but the room looks empty.
