Geocache Description:

A puzzle cache to learn what I've learned about TREASURE from geocaching.

This is a puzzle cache and a hiking cache. You will need to take a camera with you. You’ll probably hike more than 30 miles and climb more than 20,000 feet on this journey. You’ll need to find several other caches on the way. You’ll need to solve a puzzle once you’ve gathered the necessary information. And if you’ve solved it right you’ll head out into the Cascades once again.

I’ve decided that I no longer am going to be a collector of geocoins, and with that in mind I’ve placed my entire collection of approximately 50 coins in the ammo box. The collection has coins I found, coins I bought and coins that were given to me. Releasing them back into the wild is an opportunity to share them with the geocaching community. I’m sure when you visit this cache you will trade for them so that the treasure may live on for others. I thank you for that.

Now I will be collecting only the memories of those hikes, and the hikes yet to come. The first geocoin I ever had was given to me by Lucy of lucyandrickie. It’s a non trackable 2004 Washington State Geocoin. There are a few coins in the box given to me by Moun10Bike. The most memorable hike we took together was our first to find adventure chasing down the 18 miles of The Tiger Mountain Trail. There are some commemorative coins given to me while hiking with my brother RubberToes in Minnesota here in Washington and a few other spots across the country. I treasure the memory of the camping trip we took along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Kirkland Explorers and I shared a journey to the top of Mt St Helens and he presented me with a commemoration coin. My friend The Mercury Project gifted me with a Mercury Head dime the size of a silver dollar and pure silver at that. He and his son, my grandson and I spent a weekend hiking to and camping at Tuck and Robin Lakes. Getting the kids to 7000 feet is a memory in itself. I’d met Forty-n-Eight previously, but we found out more about each other on a hike to Camp Muir accompanied by Hydnsek and Cache Ahead. Special thanks to the MidMountain Mountaineers for the ongoing enjoyment of high places. Three Fingers Lookout stands out as the best day-hike ever.

And a very big thanks to Nolenator and Forty-n-Eight for helping me locate and place the puzzle pieces.

The treasure box is in the Cascades. Don’t take the puzzle pieces away from the various caches. Just take a picture of them. Save the pictures you take. That's the puzzle. Also, take the ten essentials and a buddy on these hikes. Some of these places have few visitors. Make memories in the Cascades you can treasure for a lifetime.

The best place to start is not at the given coordinates but at my first mountain cache: GCT51G Tiger Trail Tales, now a MidMountain Mountaineers Cache. It was placed on one of many night-time adventures with the WNW. There you will find a clue. Do not take the clue. Take a picture of it. The clue will lead you to another cache in the Cascades. When the clues run out you will have enough information to solve for the coordinates of the final. The final is located in the quadrant known as N47/W121. The rest is up to you. Hey. It's a 5/5 cache. You didn't expect me to tell you everything, did you?

I've loved hiking in the Cascades and everything that goes with it. Remember to stop and enjoy the views, the trails and the exertion, as I have.

Congratulations to CJJIT, Boonie and Shaddow on the FTF. Nice work guys.

And, congratulations to Korth on being the first to find all of the caches that lead to the final. And needing only a minimal hint to crack the code to make the grab. on the FTF. Nice work korth.
