Never Forget 9/11/2001 - United We Stand Mystery Cache

This monument was dedicated on September 11^th, 2011 as a 10-year memorial to a horrific event and tribute to the first responders who gave and risked their lives in patriotic bravery.

Ground Zero for this micro (medicine bottle sized) cache is located at the coordinates N 43 20.X, W 083 44.Y which may be found by solving for 'X' and 'Y' using the formulas below. (BYOP)

For 'X' (result will be three digits) -

       X = 911 – (A*B)

       where A = The number president of George W. Bush.

       where B = The total letters in the company name of the airplane that crashed into the North Tower.

For 'Y' (result will be three digits) -

       Y = 911 – [(C*D*E) + F]

       where C = The total number of planes involved in the attack.

       where D = The total letters in the company name of the airplane that crashed into the South Tower.

       where E = The anniversary for which this monument was erected (also the length of the girder).

       where F = The number corresponding to the month of the attack.

     NEVER FORGET 9.11.2001 - United We Stand

On the morning of September 11^th, 2001 America experienced a tragic attack by foreign terrorists for the first time on U.S. soil.

The United States was attacked in a coordinated assault involving four hijacked U.S. commercial airplanes by a group of terrorists. One of the four airplanes (American Airlines Flight 11) is flown into the North tower of the World Trade Center, a second (United Airlines Flight 175) is flown soon after into the South tower, a third (American Airlines Flight 77) is flown into the West wall of the U.S. Pentagon building, while the fourth (United Airlines Flight 93) crashes in a field in rural Pennsylvania (near Shanksville) as a result of intervention by several heroic passengers aboard. President George W. Bush (43rd President, U.S.) is notified of the attacks. The World Trade Center towers subsequently collapse before a national audience. Over 3,000 people are killed in the combined attacks.

2011 marks the 10th year anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001 - an event that reshaped the course of history for America, and indeed the world.

The Frankenmuth Fire Department and the City of Frankenmuth are blessed to host such a surreal and astounding memorial of American history.
