mindazt, ami megmaradt. Bár hatalmas rombolás ment végbe, de a
hamuréteg konzerválta a terület nagy részét mind a mai napig. Az
évek során a vulkáni hamu vulkáni tufává, az alatta elterülo
homokréteg homokkové alakult át. Ebben a két rétegben számos
történelem elotti idobol származó megkövesedett növény és állat
maradt fenn.
homokko különbözo állatok lábnyomait orizte meg. A tufában kidolt
fák elszenesedett és átkovásodott maradványai találhatóak meg.
Ezeken kívül rengeteg levéllenyomat is fennmaradt.
A leletek nagy részét megtekintheted a Geológiai Tanösvény
vezetett túráján. A Geológiai Tanösvényen kívül néhány más
tanösvény is vezet a természetvédelmi területen, ezek között a
Biológiai Tanösvény, a Koszikla és a Kozetparki Tanösvény. A
Tanösvény mellett, a forgalmas területen kívül. A Koszikla
Tanösvény bejárata körülbelül 100 m-re van a Geológiai Tanösvény
bejáratától.
Belépo jegyet a látogatóközpontban (Lásd ajánlott parkoló!)
teljes árú jegy 2011-ben: 1 250 Ft/fo, a kedvezményes jegy 800
gyermekeknek a belépés ingyenes. A sétáló jegy ára 300 Ft/fo
(2011).
Figyelem! A természetvédelmi terület (a doboz
A terület
március - október hónapokban keddtol vasárnapig valamint piros
betus ünnepnapokon tart nyitva. Húsvét és Pünkösd hétfokön is
nyitva van a park! Fogadóépületi nyitvatartás: tavaszi és oszi
idoszakokban 9 - 16 óra között, nyáron 17 óráig történo
meghosszabbítással. A Koszikla Tanösvény és a cache helye u.n.
sétáló jeggyel érheto el teljes árú belépojegy vásárlása nélkül. A
teljes árú belépojeggyel a cache helye is felkeresheto.

Pred cca 20 milionmi rokov bola oblast v okoli Ipolytarnocu
subtropickou dzunglou, plnou vegetacie a fauny. Nahla erupcia
blizkej pravekej sopky sposobila spustosenie celej oblasti tlakovou
vlnou. Vzapati nato bolo miesto pokryte hrubou vrstvou sopecneho
popola.
druhej vsak popol zachoval mnoho z povodneho stavu oblasti az
dodnes. Pocas milionov rokov sa zo sopecneho popola stal sopecny
tuf a z podkladoveho piesku pieskovec. V tychto dvoch vrstvach su
zachovane vzacne skameneliny fauny aj flory.
Zralocie zuby boli najdene v pieskovcoch, ktore pochadzaju z
este starsieho obdobia, ked tu bolo morske pobrezie. Na povrchu
pieskovcov sa zachovali odtlacky noh roznych zivocichov. V tufe sa
nachadzaju zvysky povalanych stromov, jednak zuholnatene, jednak
prekremenene a skamenene. Okrem nich je zachovane mnozstvo
skamenenych odtlackov pravekych listov.
Najzaujimavejsie nalezy mozno vidiet na platenej prehliadkovej
trase s nazvom "Geological Trail". Okrem nej je v ramci prirodnej
rezervacie spristupnenych niekolko dalsich tras, napr. Biological
Trail a Boulder Cliff Trail. Tieto su pristupne po zaplateni
symbolickeho poplatku. Listky, mapky a ine drobnosti mozno dostat v
Trail, mimo rusnej casti rezervacie.
marec az oktober, utorok az nedela + sviatky, 9:00 az 16:00. Vstup
do rezervacie (okrem Geological Trail) je spoplatneny sumou 300 HUF
za osobu.

EN:
Approximately 20 million years ago, the area around Ipolytarnoc
was a subtropical jungle, full of vegetation and fauna. In a sudden
eruption of the nearby prehistoric volcano, the area was sweeped by
the volcanic blast. Immediately after that, a thick layer of
volcanic ash covered what remained. Although causing a catastrophic
destruction, the ash layer preserved much of the area until today.
Through the ages, the volcanic ash became volcanic tuff and the
underlying sand became sandstone. Within these two layers, a lot of
prehistoric fauna and flora was conserved as fossils.
The shark teeth have been found in the sandstone, which
originates in even more distant past, when the area was a seashore.
On the top of the sandstone, footprints of different animal species
are preserved. In the tuff, fossils of carbonified and silicified
fallen trees take place. Besides them, a vast number of leaf
impressions are preserved, too.
You can watch many of the finds on the guided tour called
"Geological Trail". Besides that, a couple of other trails are open
in the nature reserve, including the Biological Trail and the
Boulder Cliff Trail. Unlike the Geological Trail, these are
unguided, but still require a small fee to enter. You can get the
tickets, maps and stuff at the visitor center (parking wpt).
The cache is placed at a quiet picnic place on the Boulder Cliff
Trail, outside of the busy area. The entrance to the Boulder Cliff
Trail is about 100 m away from the entrance to the Geological
Trail.
Beware! The nature reserve (including the
cache) is open to the public only within its opening hours, which
means March to October, Tuesday to Sunday plus red-letter holidays,
9:00 to 16:00. There is an entrance fee to the reserve (excluding
the guided trail), which is 300 HUF per person.
