For the most direct access to Fox 01, enter the Fayoum area north of the lake. A 4x4 is not required to reach this cache, yet most people that travel this region do travel by 4x4, as the road is rough in some areas. It can also be accessed offtrack by 4x4 from the western edge of the Fayoum by traveling north from the village of Qarun.
To reach the cache location you may follow the numerous fox tracks up the escarpment. The cache is hidden in a very nice lookout location with 360 degree views of the North Fayoum area. The cache is well hidden within the rock formations near the entrance of a fox den.
The cache is located in a Ziploc brand Tupperware style plastic container named 'Fox 01'.
