Carnoy 1914-18
Family history research, lead us to discover a 'Great Uncle' who lost his life in World War I. He probably died of wounds suffered at The Battle Of Le Transloy in the Somme area, October 1916.
His grave lay undiscovered by the family in the nearby Cemetery for nearly 80 years. We now visit, to pay our respects to a ‘Great Uncle’ and all who sacrificed their lives in The Great War.
