Die Insel Lošinj ist eine kroatische Insel in der Adria. Sie ist ca. 75 km² groß. Die Insel ist ein blumen- und pinienreiches Paradies und zählt zu den sonnigsten Plätzen Europas. Der Hauptort der Insel heißt Mali Lošinj.
Weg durch die Natur
Auf der Insel findet man eine subtropische Vegetation vor. Palmen, Olivenbäume, Zitruspflanzen, Agaven, Oleander, Wachholder und Pinien wachsen auf der Insel. Man zählte über 1000 Planzenarten, darunter allein 230 Heilpflanzen.
Die Tierwelt von Losinj haben wir auch kennengelernt. Im Meer sind jede Menge verschiedene Fischarten, Muscheln, Seeigel und Krabben. Auf der Insel selbst sahen wir ungiftige Schlangen, Geckos, Stabheuschrecken, Gottesanbeterin und Skorpione.
Boka Falsa
Unser Cache führt Euch durch diese vielfältige Natur. Von dem Städtchen Mali Lošinj folgt Ihr dem Küstenweg Richtung Boka Falsa. Dort habt Ihr einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Insel Koludarac. Von hier wandert den Weg Richtung Monte Baston weiter.

Etwas Abseits vom Weg an einer Kiefer befindet sich der Cache (Spoiler). In der Nähe befindet sich ein alter Olivenbaum, von dort kann man bei guter Sicht die Insel Susak sehen.

Die Wege sind leicht und befinden sich im Waldpark Cikat. Wer will, kann weiter bis zum Aussichtsturm Monte Baston laufen. Man hat von dort einen guten Blick auf die Stadt, den Hafen und die benachbarten Inseln.

The island of Losinj is a Croatian island in the Adriatic. It is about 75 sq. km. The island is a paradise of flowers and pine-rich and is one of the sunniest spots in Europe. The capital of the island is called Mali Lošinj.
On the island one finds a sub-tropical vegetation. Palm trees, olive trees, citrus trees, agaves, Oleander, juniper and pine trees grow on the island. There were over 1,000 plant species, including 230 medicinal plants.
The wildlife of Losinj, we have also learned. In the sea are a lot of different types of fish, mussels, sea urchins and crabs. On the island, we saw non-poisonous snakes, geckos, stick insects, praying mantis and the scorpion.
Our cache will lead you through this diverse nature. From the town of Mali Lošinj you follow the coastal path Boka Falsa direction. There you have a wonderful view of the island Koludarac. From here the route continues out towards Monte Baston.
Slightly Off the trail, near a old olive tree is the cache (spoiler). From there you can see on a clear day the island of Susak. The path is easy and are located in Forest Park called Cikat. Anyone who wants can go on to the panoramic view. From there you have a good view of the city, the harbor and neighboring islands.
