Welcome to Aydat, situated Lake
Cassière.
This strech of water appeared
8000 years ago, when a lava flow from puys Cow and Lassolas barred
the flow of River Veyre. This lake is exclusively reserved for
fishing, situated at 861 meters altitude, with a maximum depth of 5
meters.it offers a wonderful landscape, with its small isles
that reflected in the water.
As lake Aydat and
Montlosier, Cassière is a volcanic dam.
the lava flow is now wooded. This
can be observed whilst strolling around the lake due to the chaotic
aspect.
