Petite histoire :
Le calvaire de Gabriac fondé en 1679 offre une vue imprenable sur
les monts d'Aubrac et par temps clair on aperçoit même les Monts
d'Auvergne et la Cathédrale de Rodez
Terre profondément catholique. Avec certes ses hauts et ses bas,
l'Aveyron vénère encore un impressionnant lot de reliques et de
saints.
Quatre fois l'an, à la chapelle du Calvaire de Gabriac, on
implorait saint Roch - à qui forces pèlerinages, pour des actions
diverses, sont dédiés dans tout le Rouergue - afin qu'il préserve
récoltes et biens.
Le Calvaire avec sa vue imprenable sur les monts d’Auvergne ,
Retables et oratoires incluant des bas reliefs en bois classés aux
monuments historiques ( XVII et XVIII siècle), dans le village :
l’église datant de la fin du XVI avec à l’intérieur une
fresque de GRESCHNY ( 1953 ), et la fontaine de la Courtade.

The calvary of Gabriac founded in
1679 offers a breathtaking view of the Aubrac mountains and on
clear days you can even see the mountains of Auvergne and the
Cathedral of Rodez.

of relics and saints.
Four times a year, at the Calvary
Chapel of Gabriac, we implored St. Roch - who forces pilgrimages to
various actions, are dedicated throughout the Rouergue - so that it
protects crops and property.
Calvary with its breathtaking
views of the mountains of Auvergne, altarpieces and chapels
including bas-reliefs in wood classified as historical monuments
(XVII and XVIII century) in the village: the church dating from the
end of the XVI to the Greschny within a fresco (1953), and the
fountain of Courtade.
Le premier des Oratoires se trouve au croisement de la route
Bozouls/Espalion juste avant votre parking .

à votre gauche après le parking, à l’angle de cette rue le
deuxième Oratoire :

Vous êtes sur le chemin du calvaire vous menant à la
Chapelle.
Après le cinquième Oratoire votre chemin se trouve bloqué par une
barrière, elle paraît cadenassée mais sur votre droite une porte
permet le passage.

Continuez le chemin vers la chapelle, maintenant vous suivez le
chemin marqué par les croix.

Le chemin vous amène au dernier Oratoire avant la Chapelle du
Calvaire.

Vous êtes maintenant en vue de la Chapelle du Calvaire.

Face à la porte d’entrée se trouve une croix.
Sur cette croix une plaque est apposée.
Relevez les inscriptions.

l’Aubrac et peut être même sur l’Auvergne.
