I LOVE New Hampshire! I do say that it might just be the best state
to live in!
The best part about New Hampshire? So many interesting places to go
and see! So many back roads to who knows where!!
This cache is located off of Liberty Tree Road, which is off of Day
Pond Road. I guess you could take Liberty Hill Road in from
Henniker too, but I didn't go that way, so I don't know what the
road looks like.
I DO NOT suggest driving down this road. While it looks okay
for trucks and some cars at the beginning, I warn you, it gets
pretty boulder-y further in. There is also a bridge that is
NOT strong enough to hold vehicles. It's a very good road
for four-wheelers, though. Plenty of mud holes and rocks to
climb.
Park at start of Liberty Tree Rd (see New Hampsha' for Damn Sha! for parking spot),
and enjoy the peaceful walk down Liberty Tree Rd.
I didn't see any signs of bears, but it doesn't mean they aren't
out here. I did see moose poop, so they're here somewhere. I also
saw some shotgun shells, so please be careful during hunting
season!
I was trying to find the Indian Tie-Up location down here, but
heck, without a map or knowing exactly what it looks like, I wasn't
going to venture too far into the woods by myself. I'll talk to the
historical society one Saturday and maybe get them to draw me a map
and a picture. Lol.
Cache is jam packed with things you can use outdoors in New
Hampshire. Also, a few small New Hampshire
trinkets/souvenirs.
FTF gets a great New Hampshire prize...please note that the FTF
prize is NOT in the container because it wouldn't fit. You are
welcome to take anything from the cache as well!
Happy caching!
Congrats to Team Yianni for FTF!
