Cantoul 2 - La statue - menhir
Assez fasciné par ces monstres de pierre,
je vous invite à venir voir l'un des nombreux
ménhirs dans les pays de Lacaune:
celui de Cantoul.
Seule statue de cette forme et bien conservée, cette statue dit "masculine" en gneiss, porte sur la face un objet, une crosse, une ébauche de ceinture et les jambes.
Dans le dos, quelques guillochis (ornements formés de traits entrecroisés et de forme reguliere)

Quite fascinated by these monsters of rock,

menhirs found in countries of Lacaune:
the one of Cantoul.
The only statue of this form and well preserved, the statue known as "male" in gneiss, has an object on the face, a stick, belt and a draft of the legs.
