Rödhamn - Another must-see!
Rödhamn East
[SWE] Rödhamn är inget annat än ett riktigt smultronställe. Här finns en väl skyddad naturlig hamn som använts i hundratals år. Åländska Segelsällskapet driver nu gästhamn här med fina anläggningar och bl a café. Här finns även ett museum kring den radiofyr som drevs på platsen.
Exceptionellt väl värt ett besök! Sommartid ordnas det turer hit, mer information från turistinformationen på Åland.
Denna cache är placerad i närhet till den bastu som ÅSS medlemmar med sällskap får nyttja. Notera att ratingen på terräng är hög pga kravet på båt, inte av någon annan anledning.
[ENG] Rödhamn is a real hidden gem. Here is a natural well protected harbour that has been used for hundreds of years. ÅSS Yacht Club is running a guest harbour here since some years with facilities such as a café. Here is also a museum about the radio station that was run on the island until some 40 years ago.
This place is well worth a visit. Tours are arranged to here during the summer, more information from the tourist information in Mariehamn.
This cache is placed nearby the sauna that is built for the members of ÅSS. Please note that the terrain rating is so high because you'll need a boat to get here, not for any other reason.
