Geocache Description:

It became obvious to many of us that there was one date on the calendar that a lot of us hadn't filled in - that's right February 29. This is one of those days that only comes around every so often - in fact this is only the 3rd time in caching history.

With so many wanting to fill in this rare opportunity we decided to help out and we figured that the easiest and best way to grab that elusive smiley was to have an event. It therefore gives 80degrees and EuDes great pleasure in inviting you along to this "colour in the February 29 square on your project 366 box" event to do exactly that.

We chose this location as it isn't too far for those who work in or near the city
(yes it is a Wednesday )and for many others it isn't far from home.

We will be there early as the venue cannot be booked but will open the log at 4.00pm and be there until 8.00pm. There are BBQ's and plenty of space for the Geokids to run and play so come and have a picnic.

This venue is only a short walk from Dennis Station and the 546 bus (Melbourne Uni to Heidelberg Station) passes by. It is close to several bike paths for those of you who are into this fitness activity.

We will hold a draw for FTF rights and have a game for the Geokids as well as something for the adults. There will be giveaways, prizes and surprises for all.

Even if you've filled in that square already, or do so earlier in the day, we'd love to see you there. Besides someone will get the 'FTF', and what a great way to knock off February 29.

And in order to promote better logging practices, we'll hold a post-event competition. The 10 best 'event attended' logs, as judged by us, will go into a draw for an unactivated geocoin. Sorry folks, 'TFTC' and 'Sent from my mobile phone' probably won't make the cut.
