Pastida (GB):
Small white houses, the alleys are quiet tiny and narrow. Here you
can find the traditional way of greek life. Just sit down in the
evenings and watch ore look araound the central square where locals
gather in the traditional cafes to discuss about the world news
every day. - You won't find this in many other Places around Rodes.
You can be sure the Locals will always warmly welcome you in a
traditional Greek way of hospitality, even if some of them will not
understand your language. Pastida was a part of the clasic Ialyssos
about 400 b.c.
We learned to love this place during our holidays and want to
show it to everybody, who is geochaching. Our friend Mr. Savvas in
Pastida will look for us after the cache.
Pastida (DE):
Kleine weisse Haueser, die Strassen ud Alleen sind klein und
ueberschaubar. Hier erlebt man noch die urspruengliche Lebensart
der Griechen hautnah. Setzt Euch also einfach am Abend hin,
geniesst die griechische Kueche oder einen Kaffe und beobachtet das
Leben, dass sich hier abspielt. Wir haben das sehr genossen.
Einfach dabei zuzushen wie die Einheimischen sich ebenfalls hier
treffen und ueber den Tag und Gott und die Welt diskutieren. Wenn
man etwas offen ist,ist man schnell mittendrin statt nur dabei.
Sotwas findet man nicht an vielen anderen Orten hier auf Rhodos.
Wir habe es nirgends so erlebt, dass die Einheimischen auf die
typische, herzliche Art wllkommen heissen,selbst wenn sie Eure
Sprache (oder englisch) nicht verstehen. (Und das ganze ohne die
manchmal aufdingliche Art um einen zu einer Mahlzeit im Restaurant
zu ueberreden).
Pastida war ein Teil der antiken Stadt Ialyssos ca 400 J. v.
Chr.
Wir haben diesen Platz lieben gelernt, als wir hier unseren
Urlaub verbracht haben. Unser Freund Herr Savvas in Pastida wird
sich fuer uns um den Cache kuemmern.
