Geocache Description:

This is a place near where we live. We love to hike the trails here and thought this would be a great place for our first cache. There is also a museum here that tells the history of Georgia's first Gold Rush. The admission to the museum is $5 for adults and $4 for children. You don't have to pay an admission fee to find the cache. The trails are open seven days a week during daylight hours. We don't recommend going on trails at night. This area was mined extensively and there are a lot of abandoned mines.

Wander the trails and take in the exhibits from this old gold mine. Not far past the sign for 'mystery' Exhibit 31 you will find this treasure. The cache originally contained Stan, a TB we picked up in Paris. If your travels will take you to another mine, please pick up Stan and help him along his journey.

Dollar Bill for the FTF.

Lots of tree cover in this area. My GPS was showing +/- 12 ft in accuracy.

!!!!!Congratulations to kuhio223 on FTF!!!!! Thanks for picking up Stan and moving him on!
