Geocache Description:

Welcome to the first ever AlphaNumeric Challenge cache in Columbus! The cache IS at the published coordinates BUT, you may not find it until you have completed the challenge. This cache will probably take a long time to complete, so get ready.

The AlphaNumeric Challenge is a challenge that was first introduced to me a few weeks ago by www.MyGeocachingProfile.com. Geocaching.com owns this site now but they did not keep everything so I still use the site often. The challenge requires you to find Geocaches owned by Geocachers whose nickname (for example KBLAST) starts with A-Z and 0-9 for a total of 36 different names. For example, if you found one of my caches (4 boys explore's cache) than that would count for the number 4 not for B (from boys) or E (from explore). Also, if you found a cache by a person named 099cool than that counts for 0 not 99. The caches can be anything from light pole caches to 5 star tree climb caches. Any cache will count, before or after publish date. I am doing this because that is how I believe the AlphaNumeric challenge should go and then it will hopefully have more visitors. Also, if you create a username with a number/letter you need and then make the fake user hide a cache and then have your real user find it, I will delete your log. You are only cheating yourself. In the case of an adoption of a cache the ORIGINAL username is what is counted for this cache.

Thanks to Project GC.com, a very easy way to check your stats is to visit (visit link) and enter your username. Doing this is highly preferred and I will verify all found it logs based off it from now on. Thanks to vogelbird for recommending this site.

There is no need to submit a list anymore.

If you still do not understand what challenge is send me an email, check out the picture below, or veiw my profile and look for the section titled AlphaNumeric Challenge (the section on my profile is near the bottom). Also, I have been having lots of trouble with 007 Family! Their true/real name is Simcoxfamily007! That means it will count for "S" NOT "0". This applies to any cacher name like this. It must be their real name! For example, if I (4 boys explore) hid a cache and made the cache page say hidden by "COOLPEOPLE" then it would count as a "4", NOT a "C". Also, if a user changes their name (for example Lsoller to Sweetfyre) you use the name of when you logged it. So if you found a cache on the 5th of July and the user said 099COOL then it counts for a "0" even if they change their name to #1Cool the next day.

Even though I have not completed this challenge myself I thought it would be cool to introduce to other people who, like me, didn't even know it existed. I will be working on this challenge along with all of you. Thanks to Handyman & Fam for helping me clear up some questions before they happened. Also, congrats to Handyman & Fam for FTF!

Good Luck and Be Careful!
