Do you want to get a mixture of Tradi and Multi? An afternoon in the beautiful dry nature of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence? See some Bories, get some view on the Luberon, Mane, Forcalquier, l’Observatoire? This cache is only about one waypoint with a riddle that leads you to the final. A track about some hundert meters, only the puzzle and searching consuming time. In the end, you will be rewarded with a cool, remote spot and the possibility for further hiking trails displayed in the cache.
+English+ 1) BEFORE SEARCHING: Get yourself some free time, because as said before although this is a short cache it might take several time. Furthermore you should be prepared and fit enough for a trip over stony hiking trails and also offside of them in grass and bushes. Concerning the last point it could be helpful wearing thin, but long clothes/trousers and good shoes. Especially during summer time beware of the sun and the heat! Apart from the typical geocaching equipment you should also take a pen (because mine is often taken away) and a pocket calculator with you. 2) JOURNEY, PARKING AND STARTING: Arriving from the N100, you will have to turn left if you drive in direction Mane or right if you come from it. The street which will guide you near the cache has no official name, but it is called „chemin de Chateauneuf“. Keep your eyes peeled for a hotel sign next to. The plane avenue begins at this point. The region of the cache is very remote, so you will likely not find an official car park there, but on the other hand there is a lot of free space, so feel free to park your car offside the way- of course without hurting the rights of the residents and their property. The street goes up the hill, you can follow it until you are at the high of the coordinates. Now you should discover a hiking trail at the left side which will lead you in the waypoint´s region. 3) WAYPOINT: The waypoint is a bit offside the track and not very easy to find. If you get in trouble, the middle part of the additional hint could probably help you. Moreover it can be said it has the size of the final cache („small“). Inside the container you will find a little riddle, rather a number-square. Take out one for you, solve it and you will have the final coordinates. Be prepared for some time resting during solving the riddle, because it is not that easy. However, the instruction could help and maybe also the pocket calculator although mental arithmetic should be sufficient. 4) WALKING TO THE FINAL It is not necessary to leave the hiking trails until you are near the final cache. There are multiple turnings and paths of different size- only keep focussed on the coordinates and you will find your way. 5) THE CACHE The container is hidden some meters offside the track (so beware of snakes etc!). It is also difficult to discover, but if you have problems you can either consult the additional hint or beyond that the foto-hint. Of course, there are the usual rules to deal with the cache like for example not to take content away and hiding it the way you found it. Especially the last point is very important: Try to offer your followers a caching experience as difficult as you probably had and spend some time re-hiding the container. 6) AFTER... Expect for the usual „treasures“ you will probably discover in the container, I also want to offer you some kind of an extra-service to reward you for your labour: You should have found a little card inside the cache. It is a kind of a hiking-guide for the region containing the coordinates of special places, POI´s and whole trips. Please take only one card away and keep the others inside for the cachers following you. - Thank you for your visit! +French+ PRINCIPE DU CACHE: Si vous attendez (et craignez) un multi-cache typique avec un tas de waypoints et une longue distance à marcher, vous vous trompez! Ce cache est une sorte de mélange entre multicache et cache traditionnel. Il y a un waypoint seulement dont vous avez besoin afin d`obtenir les coordonnées finales. La distance à marcher ne dépasse pas quelques cent mètres et n`exige pas beaucoup de force. La raison pour laquelle il s`agit d` une difficulté de trois étoiles est la difficulté de résoudre l`énigme pour obtenir les coordonnées finales. Mais vous trouverez une récompense spéciale à la fin… 1)AVANT DE CHERCHER: Réservez-vous suffisamment de temps libre car même que ce la distance soit courte, vous mettrez un certain temps pour résoudre l`énigme. En plus, préparez-vous pour une balade sur des chemins pierreux et à travers des prés et la brousse. Il serait bien de porter des vêtements légers mais longs et des bonnes chaussures. Protégez-vous contre la chaleur et le soleil. Emportez un crayon parce que malheureusement le mien est souvent éloigné et une calculatrice de poche. 2) VOYAGE, PARKING ET DÉPART: Venant de la N100 en direction de Mane vous tournez à gauche (ou à droite, si vous partez de Mane). Le chemin qui vous mène à la proximité du cache n`a pas de nom officiel mais on l`appelle „Chemin de Châteauneuf“. Au début du chemin il y a un hôtel. Près du cache il n`y a pas de parking mais il est facile de garer la voiture au bord de la route, bien sûr en respectant la nature et les droits des propriétaires. La route monte la colline, vous la suivez jusqu` aux coordonnées. Là, vous découvrez un petit sentier à gauche qui vous mène jusqu`au waypoint 3) WAYPOINT: Celui-ci se trouve un peu à part du sentier et n`est pas facile à trouver. Si vous avez des problèmes, la partie au milieu des indications supplémentaires peut vous être utile. En plus, le waypoint a la même taille que le cache final („petit“). Dans le récipient vous trouverez une énigme, plutôt un carré de chiffres. Prenez- en une, résoudrez-la et ainsi trouvez les coordonnées finales. Si vous le trouvez trop difficile, servez-vous d`une calculatrice de poche. 4) EN ROUTE AU CACHE FINAL: Il n`est pas nécessaire de quitter les sentiers jusqu`à un petit bout avant le cache final. Il y a plusieurs courbes et des sentiers de différente largueur - concentrez-vous sur les coordinnées et vous trouverez le cache! 5) LE CACHE Le récipient est caché à quelques mètres à côté du sentier (faites attention aux serpents!). Il est difficile a découvrir mais si vous avez des problèmes vous pouvez consulter les indications supplémentaires ou les indications sur les photos. Veuillez respecter les règles habituelles des caches (par exemple de ne pas ôter le contenu et de le cacher de la même façon comme vous l`avez trouvé afin de permettre aux autres d`avoir les mêmes difficultés de le trouver comme vous avez eu. 6) APRÈS A par des trésors habituelles que vous découvrez probablement dans le récipient, je vous offre un „service spécial“ comme récompense de votre travail: Il s`agit d`un petit guide de promenades dans les alentours contenant des coordonnées de quelques points de vues et points d`intérêt.
