Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small Lock & Lock plastic box. I have set the terrain difficulty at 2.5 as this area can be hard going and wet. The landscape is uneven from the moment you leave your car so is therefore unsuitable for wheel chairs, buggies etc. Please do not leave any clues/hints or leave pictures of the cache location in the logs. Please note, the stamp is part of the letterbox - please do not remove.

Fox Tor is a relatively minor tor on Dartmoor in the United Kingdom. It is probably best known for the swampy land that lies beneath it, Fox Tor Mires. This is said to have been the inspiration for the fictional Grimpen Mire in the novel The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. This wide expanse of peat bog continues to be dangerous to walkers, especially after heavy rain.

On the flank of Fox Tor stands Childe's Tomb - according to local legend, the last resting place of Childe the Hunter, an unfortunate traveller who died there during a blizzard. The tor stands 438 m (1,437 ft) above sea level. (Above content was taken from Wikipedia).

This geocache is housed in a small Lock & Lock plastic box. Enjoy and please re-hide well - stealth might be required as this is a popular stop for walkers.

Congratulations to Dartmoor Dave on being the first to find!
